These locals will welcome you into their homes and introduce you to the local culture. Get cosy over dinner, and traditional folk song and dance. Learn the local legends. Toast your host with locally made rice wine.

You’ll also have the chance to see Da Bac CBT’s work in action and understand the local development context. Learn how Vietnam’s largest hydroelectric dam has brought both power and hardship to the region, and visit our livelihood projects to see what we’re doing to help.

Trek with a Purpose

Our trekking routes take you off the beaten tourist path, through fertile valleys, rich bamboo forest, golden rice terraces, and local ethnic villages. From cliff sides, take in breath taking views of Vietnam’s iconic karst peaks jutting up from the sparkling waters of Hoa Binh Lake.
